George Wishart

George Wishart joined Vestcom in 2011 to head up Vestcom’s sales, marketing, and product management teams. As Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Wishart’s in-depth knowledge and marketing insight raises Vestcom’s leadership position in the retail industry to a new pinnacle.

Mr. Wishart garnered his decades of retail marketing, research and advertising experience in the classic way: He held marketing and business director positions with Kraft Foods, including the role of President of Jacob Suchard International, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kraft Foods. Prior to Kraft, Mr. Wishart held key positions in several leading advertising agencies, including the international powerhouses, Ogilvy & Mather and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Mr. Wishart also served as Global Managing Director of Nielsen In-Store, where he spearheaded efforts to provide In-Store Insights to the retail industry, as well as to Nielsen’s roster of clients. In 2008 he was awarded the prestigious industry Media Mavens Award by Advertising Age magazine. Subsequently, Ad Age commissioned him to author the groundbreaking industry white paper entitled, Shopper Marketing: Why Marketers Need to Pay Attention to What’s Happening in the Aisles, published in 2010.
